Toys "R" Us is demonstrating artificial intelligence has cinematic potential.

Created virtually entirely using OpenAI's new text-to---video engine, the retail toy brand debuted a short promo film at the 2024 Cannes Lions Festival in France this week.

Early access to Sora allowed creative agency Native Foreign, which the company's entertainment studio teamed with, Toys "R" Us claimed to be the first brand to release a movie employing cutting-edge technology The instrument is not yet generally accessible.

Inspired by the mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe, who came to him in a dream, Charles Lazarus, the young Toys "R" Us creator, had a vision to change toy stores using the brand. 66 seconds On social media, responses to the short ranged from "creepy" to "interesting, fascinating glance into the future of film."

Apart from Sora, Toys "R" Us claimed to have incorporated original music score and some corrected visual effects.
